Age of Empires II: The Conquerors turned 10 this week -- it was released August 24, 2000.

Come celebrate this weekend with a day of online gaming. If you've played a long time ago, or even if you've never tried it, come and get involved!

Time: Sunday August 29: 9am PDT / 12pm EDT/ 4pm GMT onwards

If you don't have the game, or you can't find the disks, download the free demo versions (see below). You can still play 4-player online games with the demos.

Now is the time to spread the word and convince friends to give it a try. Don't spam, but encourage people in any gaming forums you participate in, Facebook friends, Twitter, Steam groups, everyone. Let's make this a great day!

Nervous about playing with others? Don't worry, it's a friendly place, and there's a wide range of skill levels so you'll find plenty of other beginners. You could also do some skirmish matches with the AI to warm you up.

If you have BootCamp installed or a VM such as Parallels Desktop, VMware Fusion, or VirtualBox, then you can also play the PC versions of Age of Empires II (including their free demos which have multiplayer) using the PC version of GameRanger on your Mac.

Headup Games has updated GREED: Black Border to add official support for multiplayer matchmaking via GameRanger.

GameRanger has teamed up with Paradox Interactive to support their newest strategy games, For the Glory, and Arsenal of Democracy.

Borderlands has just been added to GameRanger. This should solve some of the online co-op problems people have been having with the built-in service.

That also marks a total of 600 PC games supported by GameRanger now almost a year since the PC launch of GameRanger in November 2008. Plenty more games still to come!

A bunch of new supported games have been added in the last month. The most recent additions are Majesty 2 and Order of War. Get playing!
