Perth, Western Australia -- December 31, 1999 -- Scott Kevill has announced that GameRanger, the Macintosh multiplayer online gaming service, will be launched tomorrow, January 1, 2000.

GameRanger provides a free, central place for a growing community of players to meet, chat, and organize internet games. Some of the features include chat rooms, game rooms, audio voice chat, paging, instant match-making, player searching, and seamless game launching. This Macintosh-only service is also the only one of its kind on the Macintosh.

GameRanger was first introduced for public beta testing in July 1999 with support for 11 game titles, and has already received many rave reviews, including an award of "Best Internet Gaming Achievement" by Macworld Magazine in their 1999 Hall of Fame.

Now with over 14,000 members and support for 27 popular game titles, GameRanger is set for the year 2000, which promises to be the year of multiplayer online gaming for Macintosh users everywhere.
